The Julia Richman Education Complex 317 East 67th Street New York, NY
$20.00 - Adults $15 - Youth - 18 or under $15 - Groups of 10 or more from one school
The time is here to gather together to look at where we've come from where we are, and where we are going. Sponsored by schools and other groups who have, over the past 30-40 years been in the forefront of creating schools that serve democracy, we are gathering to refuel--and remap the coming 35 years. During the morning there will be school led workshops that focus on how our schools have reframed issues of accountability to match their missions, as well as building strong adult and student cultures that promote democracy. In the afternoon we will highlight larger sessions around cross-over issues, including teacher education, research, early childhood, and more. We will also be hearing from Juan Gonzalez, Pedro Noguera, Michelle Fine, Deborah Meier and others.
